Air ambulance called to emergency incident near Ringlestone in Maidstone

A person was flown to hospital after the air ambulance was called to an emergency this morning.

The aircraft was spotted near Ringlestone in Maidstone at around 8.15am.

Police couldn’t comment on the matter but confirmed it was a medical incident.

An air ambulance spokesman added: “A helicopter from Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) was dispatched to an incident in Maidstone this morning. The patient was flown to a London hospital.”

It comes after a morning of traffic woes for motorists who faced delays.

The M20 was closed in both directions during the morning rush hour over concerns for a person’s welfare.

The ambulance service has also been contacted for more information.
