A benefit fraudster has been handed down a 360-day suspended sentence.
Leicy Flisher, a mother of three, from Plains Avenue, Maidstone, had made claims for Housing Benefit, Income Support and Jobseekers Allowance totalling £15,500 on the basis that she was a single mother.
But in fact Jason Kemp, her partner and the father of her children, had been living with her.
Flisher had been found guilty by magistrates at an earlier hearing of three counts of dishonestly making a false statement to obtain a benefit and one of failing to notify a change of circumstances between April 2015 and March 2017.
She appeared in court again today, where she was sentenced for 360 days in prison. It was suspended for two years.
