Maidstone joint-manager Lloyd Hume has called on his players to get at teams from the off following two disappointing first-half performances.

The Stones slipped up at home last Saturday after a slow start against Carshalton and only a second-half revival against Waltham Abbey saved them from further disappointment on Tuesday.

A trip to Wealdstone awaits Maidstone tomorrow (Saturday) and they follow that up with a game at Homelands against AFC Hornchurch on Tuesday night.

"For me we’ve played two games but only 90 minutes of football," said Hume (pictured).

"While we were elated and relieved at winning on Tuesday we pointed out to the players that we don’t need to be giving teams one or two goals starts.

"We need to start imposing our game from the start and play from the first minute until the last."

Injuries to James Peacock (ankle) and Dean Hernandez-Bradshaw (groin) will be assessed before the weekend but Meshach Nugent is definitely out after damaging his ankle ligaments against Waltham Abbey.
