A police vehicle has been damaged in a crash near a supermarket in Maidstone.

The collision happened near to Aldi on Well Road at the junction with Wheeler Street.

Pictures show damage to the front of the van as officers direct traffic around the scene.

The crash, which involved another car, is understood to have happened at around 8pm.

It's not known yet if anyone has been injured or if the police vehicle was responding to an emergency at the time.
