A garage joined to 25 others and containing tyres and waste products has caught light.

Firefighters were called to the block of garages in Laburnum Road, Strood, at 4.51pm.

They immediately removed the tyres and waste materials and dampened them down.

They are still at the scene and are using breathing apparatus and hose reels to extinguish the fire inside the garage.
