It is giant replica of the logo of sport nutrition brand Grenade.
Bloon, an inflatable and aerial marketing agency, is the team behind the creation.
Bloon spokesman Adam Faulkner said: "We are flying this very special balloon all over the UK encouraging people to take photos and upload them to social media using #Grenade #YouGotThis.
"In return, people can win a range of Grenade goodies.
"At a very difficult time for many, Grenade wants to spread some positivity and bit of fun around the UK and let everyone know that no matter how difficult things get, they will get through."
It set off near Hill Road.
A spokesperson from Grenade said: "Well done to any eagle-eyed spotters who caught a glimpse of our balloon over Kent.
"While the balloon only took flight as part of a routine training exercise, we hope that it managed to bring a bit of intrigue to an otherwise cloudy day."
