A popstar has been recording at a converted railway carriage they own on the Kent coast.
Ed Sheeran has shared pictures on Facebook of him creating music content inside the 1880s coach in Dungeness.
He posted black and white shots of his recording studio as well as some snaps of the railway line in the barren location.
“One month of Subtract,” the post alongside the pictures read.
“I feel so connected to all of your stories of this album, thank you so much for sharing them with me. Love you all x”
Ed and his wife spent £650,000 on the converted railway carriage last year.
The former Southern Railway cart is surrounded by a modern extension to the front and rear in keeping with local planning restrictions.
It has an open-plan living space with sliding glass doors leading out to a small garden with views of the English Channel. The conversion also has a wood burner as well as underfloor heating in some sections.
Ed Sheeran has also become a regular at a local pub in the town.
Richard Davis, the licensee of the Britannia Inn, told KentOnline in March that during his time at the establishment, he’s seen Grammy-winning artists, BAFTA-nominated actors and footballers rock up and enjoy a pint.
He added there is a “no selfies” rule which he thinks is why celebs like it so much.
Ed has also been pictured grabbing fish and chips in nearby Greatstone.
The manager of Greatstone Fish Bar was left buzzing after the four-time Grammy and seven-time Brit award winner popped in for a takeaway in 2019.
