Discovery Park helps furnish science block at Sandwich Technology School

Staff at Discovery Park have helped donated furniture to a Sandwich school.

The Enterprise Zone has given Sandwich Technology School specialist lab benches, desks and chairs for its proposed new science block.

The science block is being created by Diocesan Architects, of Faversham.

Kimberley Anderson, project manager at Discovery Park, said: “We were really pleased to support the school by helping to kit out the planned new science block and other curriculum areas.

“Our donation means that the money the school would have spent can now be redirected to the students themselves.

“Training and education are close to our hearts and we are pleased that local students will benefit from the lab benches and other furniture as well as the money that has been saved.”

Andy Fisher, school business manager, said: “We can’t thank Discovery Park enough for everything they do to support the school. Their kind donation saved us a huge amount of money.

“It’s not the first time that Discovery Park has helped us out.

“They also recently donated teachers’ desks, chairs, cupboards and other furniture we needed for 11 classrooms in another of our new buildings. Their help has been phenomenal.”
