Window smashed and A-Level coursework taken from white Fiesta at Sandown Road, Sandwich

A girl's A-Level course notes and the designer handbag that contained them have been stolen from a car.

The thief threw a brick through the window of the white Ford Fiesta in Sandwich on Monday afternoon.

It was parked along Sandown Road, near the junction with St George’s Road when the vandal struck some time between 2.20pm and 3.10pm.

The mother of the girl who owns the car said: "They threw a brick (after a few attempts and hitting the bodywork) through the window and stole her school bag with all her A Level notes in."

The woman, who does not want to be named, is appealing for anyone with dash-cam footage to get in touch with police.

The bag that was taken was a dark grey tote bag by Radley with black straps.

A police spokesman said: "We were contacted at 5.30pm on Monday, April 19, 2021 and it was reported that the window of a car in Sandown Road, Sandwich had been smashed and a bag stolen from inside.
