St Peter's Tower in Sandwich re-opens after lockdown with ribbon cutting by mayor Paul Graeme

Lockdown easing was key to these stunning views over a medieval Kent town.

Having been closed for over a year St Peter's Tower in Sandwich was officially re-opened by town mayor Cllr Paul Graeme and his mayoress wife Sue today.

Coffee and cake was provided by Nostalgic Sandwich and people took advantage of visiting the tower after such a long time of it being closed.

With panoramic 360 degree views of the town of Sandwich, visitors can even catch a glimpse of France on a clear day.

The reopening came as part of the third step of the roadmap out of lockdown today.

Pubs, cafes, cinemas, theatres and other attractions can now allow people inside.

The tower is open every day 10am to 4pm weather permitting.

Entry is £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for children.
