Two taken to hospital after van overturns on A256 Dover Road in Sandwich

Two people were taken to hospital after a van overturned in a crash on a busy route.

The collision happened on the A256 in Sandwich at about 2.50pm and part of the road remains closed while an oil spill is cleared.

Police and paramedics attended the two-car smash, where a vehicle had overturned.

Two people are receiving treatment for injuries which are not believed to be serious.

A police spokesman added: “We were called at 2.50pm to a collision in Dover Road, Sandwich involving two vehicles, one of which overturned.

“Officers attended alongside other emergency services, and two people were taken to hospital.

“Their injuries are not thought to be serious.

“Road closures remain in place whilst the vehicles are recovered, and an oil spillage is dealt with.”
