A suspected Second World War shell has been found on the beach at Sandwich Bay.
The discovery was reported to the police at 9.13am on Saturday.
The Ministry of Defence's Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit was on site, with the police assisting.
They are in charge of the safe disposal of the device.
KentOnline has asked the MOD to comment.
