Oaks boast 54 youth teams, including three girls’ teams, seven adult teams, including a women’s team, and four disability sides.

They also run a Wildcats Centre and community scheme for children aged four to eight, so the new facilities will benefit huge numbers.

Chairman Paul Lansdale said: “After lots of hard work and endeavour, I am thrilled for everyone connected to the football club to reveal this brilliant news.

“Greatness Park welcomes hundreds of participants and visitors each week and our new clubhouse will be a catalyst for us to further progress as a club and build upon what we offer to our players, coaches, parents, volunteers and local community.

“We wouldn’t have been able to get this far without the help and support of many people and now we can look ahead to making our plans a reality which is incredibly exciting.

“We are looking forward to working very closely with our landlords and our key stakeholders and partners.

“The future looks incredibly bright especially after two very tough seasons and we are all excited to push forwards and make Greatness Park even greater.”
