Kent Police helicopter and K9 unit search Minster for burglary suspects

A police helicopter and dog unit were scrambled last night to search Minster.

Officers were initially called to reports of a burglary in Scocles Road at 8.30pm after two men were spotted stealing from an industrial site there.

The National Police Air Service chopper spent around two hours in the area looking for the suspects using a searchlight.

A number of people took to social media to say they also saw officers on the ground using dogs to track the men.

A force spokesman said: “No arrests were made and enquiries are ongoing.”
