Text voting in the Times Guardian's Pub of the Year competition has been suspended due to a technical difficulty.

We're currently working on the problem and will inform readers of what is happening next week.

Anyone who does vote will not be charged and their text will not be counted.

In the meantime, people can still vote for one of the 11 participants via a form in the paper.

The competing pubs are: The Red Lion, Blue Town; Blacksmiths Arms, Sheerness; Playa, Minster; Shurland, Eastchurch; Royal Hotel, Sheerness; The Old House at Home, Queenborough; The Napier, Sheerness; The Beach, Minster; The Goat, Sheerness; The Aviator, Queenborough Corner; and The Ivy Leaf, Sheerness.
