Margate road user sprays 'KILL OR CLAIM' on potholes in Enterprise Way

An angry road user is sending a message to motorists by labelling potholes with the words 'KILL OR CLAIM'.

The large potholes in Enterprise Way, Margate, have also been highlighted with yellow paint.

Kent County Council have now said they will repair any road damage that is considered hazardous.

KCC highways spokesman Thom Morris said: "We work hard to maintain our roads to help prevent problems and potholes in the future and inspect them regularly.

"Residents are asked to report potholes and other faults online at where details can be easily uploaded and locations pinpointed on an interactive map.

"Providing this information has helped speed up the rate of repairs. In this instance, we have received no reports of potholes.

"We have inspected Enterprise Road and arrangements have been made for works orders to be raised for any defects that are considered hazardous."

A pothole with the word 'KILLER' had been drawn on the road leading into Westwood Industrial Estate earlier in the week but the word has since been covered up.
