Wilko store, on the corner of York Street and Queen Street, in Ramsgate, up for rent

Another former town centre Wilko has gone on the market.

The empty unit, on the corner of York Street and Queen Street, in Ramsgate, is being listed for a yearly rent of £120,000.

The property spans two floors but no further details have been disclosed by estate agents Clarke and Crittenden.

Wilko’s branch in the town centre closed in September after the company went into administration.

There was hope some of the county’s stores would remain open after a handful were missed in the first announcement.

However, the budget retailer, which had 13 premises across Kent, failed to secure emergency funding and all its shops were shut by October last year.

A number of the vacant units are already being snapped up, with the former store in Strood also being listed for let and B&M taking over the branch in Rainham.
