Ramsgate beach packed as temperatures hits 30 degrees

Families have flocked to the beach as the county experiences one of the hottest days on record so far this year.

With the mercury hitting a toasty 30C, the Ramsgate shoreline was packed today with residents and tourists looking to catch some rays and cool down in the sea.

Last year Kent towns experienced record-breaking temperatures of almost 40C and meterologists warn we could be in for another hot summer in 2023.

And while parts of the UK are under yellow thunderstorm warnings today, the south east in enjoying some of the warmest temperatures.
