Where to watch the Champions League final on a big screen in Kent? Dreamland in Margate

A giant screen in Kent will show the Champions League final between Liverpool and Tottenham at the weekend.

Bosses at Dreamland have secured a huge 28ft screen for one of the stages and its debut appearance will be to treat sports fans to the crunch clash.

The all-English final is one of the most anticipated finals in the competition's history after both clubs secured dramatic comebacks in the semi finals to book their trip to Madrid on Saturday evening.

The weather forecast is set to be hot and sunny for the weekend and the theme park on Margate seafront will give special late access for families.

The big game was due to be screened in the Roller Disco but the eight-metre LED high definition screen will be housed on the outdoor Scenic Stage in light of the good weather predicted.

Entry will be free and there will be discounted ride wristbands and game access for anyone who wants to use the facilities as well.

A spokesman for Dreamland said: "The park’s bars and food vans will also be open so football fans can fuel up fish and chips, pizzas, burgers, hot dogs and plenty of candy floss for the excitement.

"So sports fans won’t need to jostle for space in crowded pubs, or worry about finding space at home for all of their friends - get a blanket, get your friends together, get a round in and get comfortable in our park for the match of the year."

The venue is also hosting a number of family activities throughout the half term this week as part of its Ships and Giggles festival, a nautical themed event featuring hoola-hooping Mermaids, pesky pirates, intrepid adventurers, and TV character appearances.

Dreamland is free to enter - except for special events such as the Champion's League final - and guests can pay per ride but are advised to buy ride wristbands in advance to save 25% online on the normal day price.
