Businesses from Thanet and Dover have been battling it out on the golf course.

The tournament at North Foreland Golf Club at Kingsgate was sponsoredby the towns' chambers of commerce.

Thanet ultimately won the overall area chamber trophy, beating the visitors 383 points to 361.

Dover’s Prince Albert pub won the corporate team event with the Spencer Wing, Margate, and Walpole Bay Hotel, Cliftonville, coming in runners up.

The individual championship was won by Dave Jamieson of the Prince Albert, second was Chris Thomas of the Spencer Wing, third Derek Hitchman of Prince Albert, and fourth Dell Healey of Spencer Wing.

Longest drive prizes were won by Durham Lamb , Simon King and Peter Card.

Nearest pin prizes were won by Chris Thomas, Derek Hitchman, Adrian Wicken and Tim Elmore.

Other teams taking part included P&O Ferries, Country Carpets, L&HG Mortgages, Northwall Engineering, Vital Software Ltd, South East Surveys, Summit Engineering, AC Wellard and the Weights Room.
