Pubs in The Street, St Nicholas-at-Wade reportedly targeted by burglars

Cash has reportedly been stolen from two pubs in Thanet in overnight break ins.

Police received reports that the pair, both based in The Street in St Nicholas-at Wade, were broken into during the night between Monday 14 and Tuesday, May 14.

Quantities of cash were said to be stolen from each premises, along with fruit machines being broken into and money taken from them.

Enquiries are ongoing into both reports.

Inspector Lara Connor of Thanet community safety unit said: "We ask that business owners take the time to review their security, ensure their premises are locked up at the end of the working day, and not to store quantities of cash onsite if possible."
