CCTV appeal launched as police investigate Ramsgate 'armed robbery'

Two men have been arrested and a CCTV appeal has been launched as police investigate an alleged armed robbery.

A phone was allegedly stolen during the incident, which took place at a property in Claremont Gardens, Ramsgate, on June 15.

Yesterday (Tuesday) morning, officers recovered two imitation guns.

A 22-year-old man from Broadstairs was subsequently arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.

A 36-year-old man from Snodland was also arrested, on suspicion of aggravated burglary and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Both men have been released under investigation.

Police have now released CCTV images of two men they wish to locate.

Det Insp Julien Lawton said: "We are continuing to investigate this incident, and would like to identify the two men pictured, as they may have information which could assist our enquiries.

"We urge anyone who recognises them to get in touch with Kent Police."
