Mystery over how boy, 17, was injured in Margate

Mystery surrounds how a teenage boy suffered head and wrist injuries and a broken collar bone, after he walked into A&E in a confused state.

The 17-year-old went to Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate on Saturday night, but does not know how he became hurt.

Police are now appealing for witnesses who can help establish what happened.

The boy sustained the injuries following an "incident" in St Peter's Road between 11pm and midnight.

He managed to walk into the nearby hospital but was unable to recall full details of how he was injured.

Officers believe he may have been hit by a car.
