Broadstairs: Dog dies after getting into trouble in the sea at Dumpton Gap

A dog has died after getting into trouble in the sea - despite best efforts to rescue it.

An RNLI lifeboat launched at the request of the Coastguard at about 9.55am after a member of the public reported a dog in the water at Dumpton Gap.

Once the boat had arrived, the person had already managed to get the pooch ashore.
