Margate man assaulted while walking dog in Ethelbert Terrace

A dog-walker has suffered head injuries in an attack on Margate seafront.

The victim, in his 30s, was walking his dog in Ethelbert Terrace at about 8.30pm on Monday when he was allegedly assaulted.

He suffered head injuries that needed hospital attention during the incident, in which his phone and bank card were stolen.

On Saturday, two men - a 40-year-old from Margate and an 18-year-old from Ramsgate - were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Both have since been released, pending further enquiries.
