New BBC Christmas comedy Pandemonium filmed at Walpole Bay in Cliftonville

TV crews from the show, called Pandemonium, were seen at Walpole Bay in Cliftonville in Margate on Friday.

The sitcom, due to be aired next month, focuses on a family called the Jessops who travel to Margate to have their summer holiday in December.

It stars The IT Crowd's Katherine Parkinson, Peep Show's Jim Howick, After Life's Tom Basden and Tori-Allen-Martin from Channel 4's Pure, alongside Steadman, who plays Pamela Shipman in hit show Gavin and Stacey.

In the synopsis, the BBC says Pandemonium features the Jessops, whose 2020, like others, has been a nightmare due to the pandemic.

They have had to cancel their holiday of a lifetime to California and instead head to Margate in December.

On Friday, crews were seen at Walpole Bay pool with one eye-witness saying they were about to brave the chilly waters.
