Dreamland fire delays opening

A fire completely destroyed a food stall at Dreamland this morning.

The theme park in Margate has delayed its opening after firefighters rushed to scene at around 10.45am.

Crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames, but a small timber framed building was destroyed.

They had left the scene by 11.30am.

Dreamland bosses are now assessing the situation and will soon have an update regarding today's opening time.

There were no guests at the park at the time of the fire and nobody was hurt.
