A shotgun blast damaged a car in Ramsgate after several shots were fired in a residential street.

Armed police were called to Nixon Avenue in Ramsgate after gunshots were reported just after 9.30pm last night.

Officers are hunting a dark-coloured Renault Megane which was spotted leaving the area.

No one was injured in the shooting but a parked car was damaged by the blast.
