Firefighters have tackled a fire in a communal bin chute at a block of flats.

Three fire engines and a height vehicle were scrambled to Invicta House, in Millmead Road, Margate just after 11am.

On arrival, crews found a fire in the block's rubbish chute which they brought the blaze under control using a hose reel jet.

Two crews remain at the scene, where final checks are being made.
