How do you like the idea of a girly evening in a classy venue, checking out some unusual ideas for Christmas gifts, and trying various beauty products and treatments – while supporting a really worthwhile charity at the same time?

The venue is the Courtstairs Manor Hotel in Pegwell, and the charity is EKUBS (East Kent Unit for Breast Screening).

Their Pamper and Purchase evening will be held on Wednesday November 9, from 7-10pm, and the £3 admission fee includes a glass of punch.

Stalls already booked include Secret Wardrobe by Lisa, giftware by Vincent Cottage Company, Bella Dolce gifts, Phoenix Cards by Josie. and cupcakes by Lexi Lou.

On the pampering side there’s Pure Escapism hair and beauty, Clarins, Avon, Nails by Julia, threading by Thread Bare Beauty, and Fleur de Lis beauticians from Birchington.

There is also a bar available.

Tickets are available on the door.

EKUBS – which is the Thanet Extra’s charity of the year – runs a subsidised breast screening service in East Kent, for women not covered under the NHS scheme.

The charity is also a major provider of breast screening equipment to the QEQM in Margate and the Kent and Canterbury hospital. Around £519,000 worth of equipment had been donated by the end of February this year..

Fundraising helpers and volunteers are always welcome, so come along on the night if you would like to either know more, or get involved.
