Man arrested and more than 600 cannabis plants seized after police raid property in Arklow Square, Ramsgate

A man has been arrested after more than 600 cannabis plants were seized from a property in Ramsgate.

Police descended on the terraced house in Arklow Square on Friday.

They found 616 plants, at various stages of growth, spread out between numerous rooms.

Mobile phones and cash were also confiscated.

A 22-year-old man from Ramsgate was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

He has been released on bail, while inquiries continue, until Tuesday, May 4.
