A raid on a micropub fell flat for burglars when they left empty handed.

Officers were called to the Yard of Ale micropub in Church Street after the alarm began to sound in the early hours of Monday, June 13, morning.

Glass had been removed from a window frame however nothing is said to have been taken.

The incident is thought to have taken place between midnight and 12.30am.

Investigating officer PC Agnieszka Rolfe is urging anyone with information to come forward.
