Slimming World's Chantelle Amini-Sedeie of Margate meets Jamie Lomas from Hollyoaks

By Katie Davis

Swapping white bread for wholemeal is just one of the simple changes a super slimmer made in her quest to lose weight.

Chantelle Amini-Sedeie from Margate previously tipped the scales at 18st 2lbs and was determined to drop the pounds when even simple chores took their toll.

Her efforts were not in vain, as not only did the 34-year-old manage to shift more than seven stone, but she also got to meet Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas aka Warren Fox.

Chantelle was one of 44 women to win a place at the semi-finals of a competition to find the UK and Ireland’s top female slimmers.

It was there that she was congratulated by Jamie, who is known for his roles in EastEnders, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks.

Chantelle, who now weighs just 10st 12lbs, made it to the semi-finals after her Cliftonville Slimming World group voted her to be their representative in the national woman of the year competition.

“Before I found Slimming World everything just felt like such a struggle,” she said.

“Simple tasks would become massive chores because I’d get out of breath so easily, and having so much weight to lose just felt like a huge battle.

“In my first week I lost six pounds. I couldn’t believe it.”

Jamie, who also appeared on I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! could not believe Chantelle’s transformation.

“I think Chantelle looks fantastic,” he said.

“She’s done amazingly well to change her life around.

"She seems so full of confidence and that’s really great to see. It’s a reminder that you can do anything you want if you set your mind to it.”
