Both carriageways between the Minster roundabout and Sevenscore roundabout will be shut from 7pm to 5am from March 21 to 26 as part of phase one.

Phase two involves the closure of both carriageways between the Sevenscore roundabout and Lord Of The Manor roundabout on March 28 from 7pm until 5am on March 29.

Alternative routes will be along the B2190 Minster Road, B2190 Un-named Road from Minster Road to Columbus Avenue, B2190 Spitfire Way, B2050 Manston Road East, B2050 Manston Road, B256 Haine Road, and vice versa.

Kent County Council is carrying out the work to the road, which is one of the primary routes out of Thanet and towards London.

"The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while high speed road lining and cats eye works are undertaken," KCC said.
