A man grabbed a teenage girl and sexually assaulted her as she walked along a footpath.

Detectives are desperate to talk to a different teenage girl who may have witnessed the incident along a footpath off Bridge Road, Margate, between 11.30am and 11.40am on Wednesday, August 24.

Officers have released an image of a man they would like to speak to.

DC Helen McKeon said: "We believe there was at least one potential witness – a teenage girl.

"I would appeal for her to come forward as she may have important information that could help with the investigation."

The man is described as white, aged between 25 and 40, about 6ft tall and of heavy build.

He was unshaven and had black hair and was wearing sunglasses, black three-quarter length trousers and a black hoodie with white writing on the front. His hood was up.
