Londoner charged after Margate Costcutter stabbing

A man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in a convenience store in the early hours of the morning.

The victim was attacked in a branch of Costcutter in Northdown Road, Margate.

Police say his injuries were "consistent with a stabbing" and that he was taken to a hospital nearby for treatment following the attack on Saturday, August 28.

London teenager Karamvir Dhadda was arrested this week, before being charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The 18-year-old, of Doebury Walk in Plumstead, was remanded in custody following a hearing in front of magistrates in Folkestone yesterday.

The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on October 11.
