Kent Fire and Rescue Service cut man out of vehicle after crash in Station Approach, Margate

A man was taken to hospital after a two-car crash in Margate last night.

The driver of a Ford Mondeo was cut from his vehicle in Station Approach after emergency services were called at 10.55pm.

Kent Police spokesman Amanda Wills said: “Two cars were involved in the collision, a Ford Mondeo and a Vauxhall Corsa.

“One man was released from the Ford Mondeo by Kent Fire and Rescue Service and he was taken to the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford with back injuries.”

A passenger in the Vauxhall Corsa said the driver was dropping him home after a game of pool.

He said: “The Mondeo was crumpled and they had to cut the roof off to get the driver out.

“My back is a bit sore and my friend who was driving has bruised ribs but we are okay.”
