The boyfriend of a woman killed in a road accident in Thailand has posted an emotional plea asking for financial help to cover potential legal costs.
Danny Glass, from Margate, was riding a scooter with Sophie Emma Rose Anderson, 41, who was heavily pregnant, when they crashed on the island of Phuket.
Miss Anderson was then hit by a truck and died at the scene. Mr Glass, 29, escaped serious injury.
Earlier, Thai police said that Mr Glass and the lorry driver Natt Awut Timsue were to be charged with causing death by reckless driving.
This week, Mr Glass posted a video on his YouTube channel appealing for help and a fundraising page has collected £1,400 of his £7,000 target.
Mr Glass said: “I have lost the person who understood me the most, who I got to experience feeling real love towards for the first time in my life, who was the most amazing, caring, loving person I ever met.
“I was driving in a straight line, under the speed limit, I was not drunk or on drugs and other various factors which make this a wrong charge.”
He said he needs the money to pay for the “best team of lawyers and other legal help”.
He added: “This is an awful situation to be in and I just want it to end as this is causing me a lot of stress and pain on top of what I am already going through with the death of my pregnant girlfriend.”
