Men from Ramsgate and Margate arrested after police find wraps of crack cocaine inside car

Two young men have been arrested after police found wraps of what is thought to be crack cocaine inside a car.

The Class A drugs were discovered by officers who stopped a vehicle in Grange Road, Ramsgate, on Wednesday afternoon.

Police seized wraps of the suspected drug, alongside cash and a number of mobile phones that are believed to have been used for dealing drugs.

A 21-year-old man from Margate was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in supplying drugs, and a 22-year-old man from Ramsgate was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, as well as assaulting a police officer with intent to resist arrest.

Both were released under investigation pending further inquiries.
