Ramsgate: South East Ambulance Service vehicles forced off road following vandalism

Vandals forced two ambulances off the road for 18 hours after shattering the rear windows of both vehicles.

The two South East Ambulance Service ambulance were vandalised at the Trust's Make Ready Centre in Haine Road, Ramsgate last Friday.

The fencing around the property was scaled between 1am and 3am, it is believed.

A spokesman for the Trust said: “Nothing was taken so it just appears to be a case of vandalism at this stage.

"The result was that two of our response vehicles were unfit for service until the repairs had been carried out.

"This was a mindless act made even more dangerous given the current demand pressures we are under.”
