The Jolly Boys are back in town this summer for what is expected to be a pretty pukka event.
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of one of Only Fools and Horses’ most popular episodes, the 1989 Christmas special The Jolly Boys’ Outing, Dreamland in Margate is set to host an exhibition. Lovely jubbly.
From Friday, August 9, until Friday, August 30, the park’s Ballroom will be transformed into Peckham’s finest paradise, showcasing a pretty cushty collection of original costumes, props, and sets which features contributions from series creator the late John Sullivan.
There will even be several special guest appearances over the course of the exhibition from actors who appeared in the sitcom.
Filmed on location at Dreamland back in August 1989, The Jolly Boys’ Outing saw the whole Only Fools and Horses gang journey from their south London home to the golden Margate Sands.
With classic moments including Denzil’s ‘disease’, the exploding coach, and Del Boy being reunited with Raquel, it became one of the best-loved episodes of the series, which ran from 1981 until 2003.
The exhibition will be open daily from 10am until 5pm.
Tickets cost £7.50 for adults, £4 for children, and £20 for a family.
