Raiders take fruit machine in Margate's Brewer's Fayre restaurant raid

A man with a large nose and gaunt face is being sought by police after thieves tried to steal a fruit machine.

Raiders targeted the Brewer’s Fayre restaurant in Station Road, Margate, shortly after 4am on Tuesday.

A fruit machine was removed from the bar area of the restaurant and then found outside the building near the children’s play area.

Officers would like to identify a man seen in the area at the time.

He is white, aged between 39 and 44 years old and is 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall. He is said to have a gaunt face with defined cheekbones and a prominent nose.

He was wearing black trainers, a light-coloured jacket and a baseball cap.
