Teenager hospitalised after collision with bus in St Peter’s Park Road, Broadstairs

A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in a town centre.

The accident happened in St Peter’s Park Road, Broadstairs, at about 10.30am, prompting a strong emergency service response.

The road has been partially blocked both ways as police and ambulance crews worked at the scene, although the route reopened this afternoon.

It is understood the youngster has not suffered serious injuries but was taken to a hospital for treatment.

A police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called to a report of a collision between a bus and a pedestrian in St Peter's Park Road, Broadstairs at 10.38am on Thursday.

“Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the pedestrian, a teenage boy, was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

“The road was blocked while the incident was responded to but is now clear.”

Ambulance crews have been contacted for comment.
