Man charged after police officers 'headbutted and kicked' while responding to call-out in Cliftonville

A man has appeared in court accused of headbutting a police officer and kicking two others while they were attending an incident.

Two PCs and a special constable were responding to a report of criminal damage in Ethelbert Road in Cliftonville, Margate, on Sunday when the alleged assaults took place.

One was reportedly headbutted and spat at, while the other two were allegedly kicked by the suspect.

Scott Vicker-Craddock, of Ethelbert Road, has since been arrested and charged with three counts of assaulting an emergency worker.

The 26-year-old appeared before Maidstone Magistrates' Court via videolink on Tuesday and was bailed to appear before Margate Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
