Traffic queues after car crash on A299 Thanet Way at St Nicholas at Wade

A two-car crash has caused major disruption on a main road this afternoon.

Police and paramedics are at the scene of the collision, which happened on the coastbound carriageway of the Thanet Way A299, near St Nicholas at Wade, at about 3.30pm.

A lane has been closed, while recovery work is ongoing.

Traffic is thought to be heavy in the area.

The ambulance service has been approached for more information.
