Birchington and Margate men charged after stabbing on Ramsgate seafront

Two men have been charged after a man was stabbed on a seafront.

Police were called to Ramsgate after the victim was attacked in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The man, in his 20s, suffered a stab wound to his arm and was taken to a London hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

A police investigation was launched and two men were later arrested in connection with the attack, which took place at around 4.20am on Saturday.

Sam Hayden, 22, of Hengist Road in Birchington has now been charged with causing grievous bodily harm, possession of a knife and possession of an offensive weapon.

Kieron Bole, 22, of Argyle Avenue, Margate, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm.

Both men appeared before Folkestone Magistrates' Court yesterday and were remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday April 17.

Officers are continuing to appeal to anyone with information which may assist the investigation to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/49620/23.
