Kent Police closes lane on A28 between Birchington and St Nicholas-at-Wade after crash

Two men were seriously hurt after their car veered onto the wrong side of the road and flipped onto its side.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened at around 2.10pm yesterday in Canterbury Road, Birchington.

The red Renault Clio was travelling London-bound when it crossed over to the other carriageway and overturned.

Emergency crews including police, firefighters, paramedics and the air ambulance rushed to the scene.

The two men in the car both suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital.
