Thanet: A UFO has allegedly been spotted flying over Manston Airfield

An internet group is claiming that a UFO has been spotted flying over Manston airfield.

The footage was captured by cameras filming BBC1 programme 'Flog It!'.

It was then posted on the 'ufosightingsdaily' website, where they claim a 'rod' or 'disk drone' had been spotted investigating a Spitfire plane.

Scott Waring, who runs the website, wrote: "Here is a great capture of a rod shooting past an old Spitfire to investigate this beautiful craft.

"I'm sure it wanted to see this one close up, because, really? How often do you get to see one of these?

"This could be a rod, but it does look more like disk drone that is about 1 meter across."

The website also posted what they call an eyewitness account.

It read: "Captured on 'Flog It' antiques programme screened May 1, 2016 - where a restored Spitfire was shown flying over RAF Manston, Kent.

"This was the only plane in the air at that time - but just watch the white object that passes beneath the aircraft. Shown here at various speeds."
