In the space of eight weeks, ten wannabe designers will compete to win a life-changing contract and the opportunity to work with a global homeware brand to produce their own line of home furnishings.

The series is hosted by comedian Alan Carr and judged by Michelle Ogundehin – design expert and former editor of Elle Decoration.

Sheree is a copywriter and was living in London when a visit to Margate inspired her to relocate to the south east.

The 36-year-old has recently bought a Victorian terraced house that she is renovating.

"Margate has everything I loved about London, but with a beautiful beach,” she told the BBC.

Jess is an upholsterer and co-owner of the gay bar Camp, in Northdown Road.

She moved to the seaside town after joining the events team at Dreamland Margate.

Filming for the show has previously taken place in the county.

In August 2021, Alan Carr was spotted with a camera crew in Margate.

He was pictured cruising around in a red Ford Capri, ordering fish and chips and interacting with fans.

The BBC series was also filmed in The Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells.
