Emergency services called to Manston airfield in Tothill Street, Minster, Ramsgate, to help woman whose car had rolled into a field

A woman driver had to be cut free from her car after an early morning crash at Manston airfield.

Two fire crews and paramedics were called to Tothill Street, Minster, Ramsgate, at 5.10am.

The black saloon car had rolled into a field and firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to free her.

Crews spent 40 minutes at the scene and the woman was taken to William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, with suspected head injuries.

No other vehicles were involved.
